At Empire Residences, we are starting to see the roof structure take shape at the top of Residence 404, which is the same elevation as the top of Level Five. The steel supports for the roofline are now in place, and roof sheeting has begun. As the roof structure at the north end is finalized, the crews will then complete framing on the remainder of Level Five, for Residences 503, 502, and 501. Level Six will start framing at about February 1st, and we should see the remainder of the roof structure above the loft levels of Residences 601, 602, and 603 in late February and early March.
As the building continues closer to reach its full height, there has been a lot of interior activity on the lower levels. MEP installation (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is complete on Level One, with rough-in MEP’s on Level Two. Window installation is finished on the Level One residences and continues on Level Two. Sheetrock installation has begun on Level One.
After an epic ski year in 2019, 2020 continues to bring an abundance of powder days as well. While great for skiing, it can slow the construction process down some, adding in time for snow removal to clear the job site. Original estimated completion dates of Fall 2020 have been adjusted to a current estimated delivery date of early December 2020.
