Although the effects of the Coronavirus can surely be felt in Park City as we shelter in place to do our part in flattening the curve, it has been exciting and encouraging to see the progress at Empire Residences.
On March 25th, the Summit County Health Department issued a Stay at Home Order, effectively shutting down all businesses in Summit County. The State of Utah followed with a similar “Stay Safe, Stay Home” directive on March 27th. Fortunately, however, real estate and construction have been deemed as “Essential Business.”
Notwithstanding these new obstacles, every day, our dedicated team at Wadman continues to move us forward and works diligently to complete the building for the upcoming ski season of 2020/2021. They have put in place additional safety measures, to ensure the worksite remains productive, while they maintain the health and safety of the team.
There has been substantial progress on both the interior and exterior of the building. Much of the interior is dried in and allows the crews to continue work on mechanical lines and even installing finish work such as bathroom tile and fireplace marble in a few of the ’04 stack Residences. For the exterior, they continue with roof framing and have begun exterior siding.
As work continues, we’ll be seeing some significant milestones achieved over the next couple of weeks, and we’ll continue to add new update photos as we follow the progress.
