Although the ski resorts have closed early this season, construction at Empire Residences has continued mostly uninterrupted. Crews are working hard to finalize the Level Six framing, along with the complex roof structure for the building. The ’04 stack (north end) is under roof and dried in, allowing for mechanical and drywall installation for units 104, 204, 304, and 404. Residence 104 is the furthest along with bathroom tile installed, completed base and case, and painting in process.
Once the roof framing and sheeting are complete for the remainder of the building, we’ll soon see additional mechanical and drywall on the ’01, ’02, and ’03 stacks. The common areas such as the Fireside Lobby and Lounge, Après-Ski Pub, Fitness Room, and Ski Locker Room are through 4-way and drywall. Mechanical systems are currently being installed on Level Two and starting on Level Three.
On the building exterior, windows and doors are now complete up to Level Four. Siding is scheduled to begin within the next week, with exterior rock starting only a few weeks away. Once the roof structure is complete, crews will continue on the exterior with the assembly of the expansive outdoor decks.
The estimated completion for delivery is December 2020 – in time for the next ski season.
